Seven Oracle is a free web tool that makes BaZi, the Chinese Four Pillars of Destiny, easy for anyone to use. Enter your birth date, birth time and birthplace, and it calculates your eight characters instantly. A short reading from the Shaman then appears below your chart.
The same tool is available in six languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified) and Spanish. No sign-up or install is needed.
Seven Oracle's readings are researched and written by a team of fortune-reading specialists in Korea, drawing on classical texts and BaZi theory.
What you can do
- BaZi calculator
- Shows your Four Pillars (year, month, day and hour), the Five Elements count and the Ten Gods. Accepts Gregorian dates, lunar dates and leap months.
- Shaman preview
- A four-part preview under your chart: your Day Master, your favorable element with its direction and color, places that may suit you, and careers that may suit you.
- If you don't know your birth time
- We leave the hour pillar empty and show only what can be read without it. Guessing a time would give you someone else's chart.
How we verify the calculations
Solar-term times are calculated from astronomical positions to the minute. We checked them against the 240 solar terms for 2019–2028 published by the Hong Kong Observatory; every one matches within one minute.
Day pillars and lunar-date conversion were checked against 78 dates from the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute.
True solar time is calculated from the longitude of your birthplace. Korea's historical daylight saving periods (1948–1951, 1955–1960, 1987–1988) and its temporary change of standard time (1954–1961) are included, and births outside Korea use the IANA time zone database.
By default, births from 11 pm count as the next day's Zi hour (late Zi). You can switch this off.
The Seven Spirits and the Shaman
In the full reading, each of seven spirits reads its own area of your life, and the Shaman brings their answers together. Each spirit's name draws on classical texts or traditional terms.
"The Shaman" is the name of this site's guide, who brings the Seven Spirits' readings together. It is not tied to any religious or spiritual practice.
- Spirit of Nature
- Reads your inborn character. Named after the chapter on temperament in the classic Di Tian Sui (滴天髓).
- Spirit of Timing
- Reads the flow of time: your ten-year luck cycles and the current year.
- Spirit of Travel
- Reads relocation, travel and life abroad. Yi Ma (驛馬), the "post horse" star, is the traditional symbol of movement.
- Spirit of Sound
- Reads the energy carried in the sound of your name.
- Spirit Under the Moon
- Reads relationships and marriage. Named after the Old Man Under the Moon, who ties people together with a red thread.
- Spirit of Dates
- Chooses good dates for important events such as moving or opening a business.
- Spirit of the Nodes
- Reads life lessons through the Lunar Nodes (your North and South Node in Western astrology; Rahu and Ketu in Vedic astrology). Named after Rahu and Ketu (羅睺·計都) as recorded in classical East Asian astronomy.

All calculations run in your browser. Your birth date and birthplace are never sent to a server or stored anywhere. For visitor statistics we only look at cookie-free aggregate data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

The stem-and-branch and solar-term calculations are checked against public astronomical data. We have not tested whether the reading is accurate; it follows traditional BaZi theory. For important health, legal or financial decisions, please consult a qualified professional.
